Mrs. Shutt, Former Resident, Winner Of Golf Tournament Mrs. Ruth Shutt, former Kings Mountain resident, won gross . scoring honors in a ladles "one club" tournament at an Augusta, Ga., course June 7. Mrs. Shutt shot a nine-hole score of 31 using her No. 3 iron exclusively over ti*e Armed For ces Golf Club course. Shte was awarded a silver com pote as winner of the tournament. Rat Rock Playhouse Opened Season Tuesday Flat Rock Playhouse near Heh dersonville opened its 14th sea son Tuesday, and the Vagabond Players are scheduled to present ten Broadway hits during thte summer months. "Legend o f Sarah", a comedy written by James Gow and Ar naud d'Ussuau, will be presented through July 3, and Wilson Grif fin of Kings Mountain listed nine other hits to be given by the group. "My Three Angels'*, July 6-10; "Pink String and Sealing Wax," July 13-17; "Here Comes Mr. Jor dan'', July 20-24; "Apple of His Eye", , July 27-31; 'Traveller's Joy", August 3-7; "You Touched Me", August 10-14; 'The Guards man", August 17-21; "Angel In the Pawnshop", August 24-28, and from August 31 - September 4, "Feathers in a Qtfle". Tickets are available, and per formances are given Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8;30 p. m., and Wednesday and Saturday ma tinees are at 2:30. The theatre is located on U. S. Mrs. Hubert Carlisle was a guest Friday night in the home of her mother, Mrs. J. B. Hamrick, in Bostlc. She went to accompany her son, Douglas, home.
