Green, of Kings Mountain, was graduated from Kings Mountain high school in 1952 and received her discharge several weeks ago from the WAC Medical Corps. , .. Mr. Davis* a son of Mrs. Lu cille Davis, of Chicago, Illinois, was educated in the Chicago and California schools and is a mas ter sergeant in the army reserves. For a wedding trip, the bride wore a blue suit with matching accessories and the orchid, taken from her bridal bouquet. Mr. and Mrs. Davis will make their home at West Hutchinson street, Chicago* Illinois. American Legion Auxiliary Heard Program Of Songs Regular meeting of the Ameri can Legion Auxiliary was held Thursday night at the home of Mrs. J. M. Rhea. Mrs. W-. B. Lo gan. Mrs, Hugh A. Logan, Jr., and Mrs. J. E. Mauney were co hostesses for the meeting. Miss Melba Tindall presented a program of songs, and after the program, the business session was conducted by the president, Mrs. Sam Collins. During the social hour, the hos tesses served chicken salad sand wiches with ice cream, cake, and lemonade. Twenty members at tended. Mr. arid Mrs. J. B. Garden Council Planning Joint Meeting October I The Kings Mountain Garden council will sponsor a Joint meet ing of all garden clubs in the Kings Mountain area Friday, Oc tober J, at 7:30 p. m. at the Wo man's club. Mrs. M. J. Boyer, of Hickory, chairman of Junior Garden clubs in North Carolina, will make the principal address on "Junior Gar dening." Mr*. Boyer has done out standing work with Junior clubs. Junior Gardening Is a phase of garden club work that Is receiv ing much stress this year in the state and also nationally. Plans for the meeting are being made by the membership commit tee of the council. Donna Ann Crawford Honored On Birthday Donna Ann Crawford celebrat ed her fourth birthday Saturday and was honored by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Crawford, at a party at their home that after noon. Cartoons and movies were shown during the afternoon, and colored films were made of the party. Games were played in the yard, and hats, horns, and bal loons were given as favors. A green and pink birthday cake centered the refreshment table, and ice cream with cake was ser ved. Guests included the honoree's grandmothers, Mrs. C. E. Blalock and Mrs. T H. Crawford, Mrs. Bob Crawford, Mrs. Jack MoOre, Mrs. Otis Falls, Jr., Mrs. Horace Kiser, and Mrs. Iris Francis, the latter of Shelby. Children attending were Mikie Kiser, Debbie Blalock, Linda Falls, Johnny Reynolds, Vlck Whitley. Steven Ray Francis, Tony Davidson, Robert Phlfer, Gary Kiser, and Mary Ethel Dixon. Skipper Mullinax Celebrates Birthday Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Mullinax entertained Saturday evening at their home on Morris street hon oring their son, Skipper Mullinax, who celebrated his 11th birthday on Saturday. A hot dog supper was enjoyed in the yard of the home, and bin go and other games were played.
