Kiwanis To Fete Children Thursday The -Kings Mountain Kiwanis club will observe "Father and Child" night at their regular meeting Thursday evening at Ma sonic Dining hajl at 6:45. It was announced that Mr. Yoder will have some miniature locomo tives to demonstrate his lecture. Police Report Minor Thefts Gene Bridges, of 206 Waco rd.t reported to Kings, Mountain Po lice department Saturday, the theft of a bicycle from his home. The bicycle, Mr. Bridges said, was a cowboy style bicycle with orange fenders, plastic seat, red and white tall light, and had an under luggage carrier. William W. Gllmore, of 118 Mountain street, also reported to police that sometime during Sun day night thieves stole from his 1954 Ford two chrome rims. Mayhue, who became a Scout at the age of 11, achieved the Ea jgle rank in three and one-half years. He has already achieved the necessary merit badges for the bronze palm award. Scout Mayhue, who will be 15 November 24, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Mayhufe, of 820 Cleveland ave. He is a sophomore at Central High school. A second ceremony presenting Mayhue v.'th th? Eagle Scout Badge was held Sunday at Grace Methodist church, wherfe he is a member. The presentation was made by Rev. W. C. Sides, Jr., pastor of the church.
