Hardin Grow 3242 viflb will be held at the Shiloh Presbyterian church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. This will be the fourth annual Thanksgiv ing morning service, since the Rev. Park H. Moore. Jr., has fceen the pastor. Thanksgiving service will be held at the First Baptist church Wednesday evening at the regu lar mid-week prayer hour. Every ? Member Canvass was Sunday afternoon for the congre gation of the Shiloh Presbyterian church. Youth fellowship Sunday evening program was on Pres byterianism. The womfen of the church mail ed a "Special Gift Package" to the orphan home at Barium Springs. The Livingstone circle met at the home of Mrs. J. B. Ellis on Thursday evening. Taking part on the program were Mrs. W. W. McCarter, Mrs. Clyde Rhtea, Mrs. Alvah Bridges, and Mrs. Hubert Rollinp. Mrs. Ellis served delici ous refreshments. The Lottie Moon circle of the First Baptist church met at the home of Mrs. W. J. Herndon. The following took part on thfe pro gram: Mrs. A1 Herndon, Mrs. Tommy Harry, Mrs. J. F. West moreland, Mrs. Dewey Montgo mery. The Ina Belle Coleman circle met at the home of Mrs. Beck Wright. Mrs. James Blalock had charge of the program and con ducted *ht devotional. Mrs. B. A. Harry, Sr., and Mrs. W. F. Mon roe took part on the program. Mrs. Wright, chairman, presided | over the business session. Mrs. Wright served delicious refresh ments. The Annie Armstrong circle I met at thte home of Mrs. Arthur! Davis. The meeting was well at tended. HarTy Roark, Hood Watterson, W. W. Jackson Gets Navy Promotion ABOARD USS PTARMIGAN ? Robert T. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Jackson, was promot ed to Englneman First Class In the U. S. Navy, effective 16 No vtember, 1954 while attached to the Minesweeper USS Ptarmigan (AM -376). The USS Ptarmigan is present ly engaged in Far Eastern Naval Operations. He has also recently received the Good Conduct Mtedal for good conduct shown while on active duty with the United States Navy. He has served aboard for three years.
