Moore brought an inspirational message on the theme "For the Continuation of Christmas" to the congregation at Shiloh Pres byterian chilrch on Sunday morn ing. The evening service was "Chris tian Student Sunday"- Cobla Go forth, -a student at Wofford col lege, conducted the devotional. The program "Campus Christian Life" was: 1 1. At Clemson Collegfe ? At Clemson college ? Bill Cockrell. Paul Allfen filled the pulpit at the First Baptist church on Sun- ; day morning. Sunday evening the college students were on the pro gram. The following girls and boys from the First Baptist 'church home for the holidays are Miss Sally Davis, Tommy keeter, Ellis Tate, ASTC, Boonte; Peggy Kee ter, Rachel Hardin and Dean Westmoreland, Lees ? McRae; Mary Louise Ellis," -Mars Hill; Miss Betty Watterson, a student nurse at the Shelby hospital. It is also hoped that they may con tinue to grow in Christian graces,. Dr. and Mrs. Hoyle Lee and daughter, Janet, of Columbia, S. C., spent several days with Mrs. Maude Hamrick. Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer Richard son of Lenoir spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Beam. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Lbdford and children visited Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Beam during the weekend. We finished up our month's study of first aid. by- acting out accidents and letting the boys take charge. The Scoutmaster would correct us when we were wrong. Elliott and the Rev. J. B. Bradley. Interment was' In the Ford ceme tery. Mrs. Ford, a native of Cleve land county, died Sunday after noon at 4 o'clock in a Gastonia hospital, after an illness of three months. She had made her home in Lowell for the past 12 years.
