Girl Scout News Troop 2 and 4 of First Presby terian church elected new offi cers at a meeting Monday at the church. Elected were Denise Weir, patrol leader; Pucky Lewis, assistant patrol leader; Sandra Plonk, treasurer, and Claudia Go forth, scribe. Mrs. T. L. Kesler is leader of the troops and Mrs. R. S. Lennon is assistant leader. Work on requirements for gar den merit badges was begun and other business was discussed. Six teen attended. Claudia Goforth, scribe President Eisenhower stays in a three-room, prefabricated “cab in” with electric kitchen and glass-walled living room, while .“roughing” it while on vacation in Colorado. In the Kings Mountain Duck Pin League, King Pins and Keg lers swept three game sets from \ the Alley Kats and Independents. I Pins beet the Kats by a score of 1416-1356, a difference of 60 pins. Boyd Howell again led the victors with a high score of 321. Ralph Arrowood with a total of 306 was high for the losers. Falls led the Keglers 1,464-1,404 victory with a high of 317. For the Independents, Albert Brac kett’s 323 was tops. In the other league activity, the Hillbillies and Community Gro cery took three games each from Three-Centers and the Jaycees. This league has not been given a name as yet, but a meeting will be held for this purpose soon. The Hillbillies, led by Wells’ high score of 289, beat the Three Centers 1281-1121. Owens’ high of 322 led the Com munity Grocery team to a 1420 1386 victory over the Jaycees.
