The wedding of Miss Hobbs and Dr. L. T. Anderson, of Kings Mountain, will be an event of Thursday (tonight) in First Bap tist church, Cherryville. A color note of pink and white was observed in room decora tions. In the dining room, an em broidered linen cloth covered the refreshment table which held an arrangement of snapdragons, pink carnations, and gypsop lia flanked by pink tapers in silver candelabras. Mrs. Howard K. Houser and Mrs. R. H. McDowell, of Belmont served tea, and Misses Patricia Farris and Linda Chastain served pink and white cakes, white block ice cream, and nuts Mrs. Ben R. Rudisill welcomed callers and presented them to the receiving line which included the honoree and her mother, Mrs. J. D. Hobbs, the hostesses, Mrs. J. R. Putnam, Mrs. Gene Hend rick, of Monroe, Mrs. Berge Beam Jr., of Crouse, Mrs. Robert Rhodes, of Lincolnton, and Mrs. W. C. Her wedding dress, of candlelight or ganzine taffeta, was fashioned with fitted bodice, long sleeves which tapered to points over the wrists, and a bouffant floor length skirt that ended in a cha pel-length train. Her fingertip silk illusion veil was attached to a crown of alencon lace embroid ered in iridescent sequins and seed pearls. She carried a white prayer book topped with a white orchid showered with valley lilies and satin streamers. Mrs. Ben Hudson, of Kings Mountain, was matron of honor, and Miss Nelle Mauney, sister of the bride, was maid of honor Bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Hamrick, of Cliffside, and Mrs. T. J. Madison, of Winston-Salem. Attendants wore ballerina, length dresses fashioned along princess lines with cap sleeves and square necklines. The gowns of nille green crystalette featured a flared skirt accented by little self bows around the hipline. They wore headpieces of nile grleen shells of nylon tulle trim med with rosebuds and flirtation veils. They carried cascade bou quets of yellow garza poms. Honorary bridesmaids were Miss Mary Lois Ridings, of Wins ton Salem, Miss Martha Harrill, of Laurinburg, and Mrs. Ben Wall, Jr., of Ruthterfordton.
