Woman Changed After Shooting Mrs. Mivinie Crosby, Negress of route 1, Kings Mountain, was charged with assault with a dead ly weapon following the shooting of another Negro, Robert Ogles by, at the Crosby home last week. Oglesby was shot three times with a .22 caliber pistol, and is a patient at Kings Mountain Hos pital. His condition is not con sidered serious. According to reports, the in jured man had been ordered a way from the Crosby home by Mr. Crosby, and when he returned, Mrs. Crosby fired at him five i times with the pistol. Oglesby is charged with assault on a female, and trial of the two cases is expected to be held as soon as the wounded man is re leased from the hospital. Mrs. Crosby is free under $200 bond. Kiwanis Kainival Set October 6 The annual Kings Mountain Ki wanis Club Kainival will be held October 6, at 7 p. m. on the Dean Motor Company car lot. according to an announcement by President B. S. Peeler, Jr. This will mark the second year that the local organization has sponsored the Karnival and auc tion sale. Proceeds are used in the Kiwanis Club’s community pro jects.
