Wins Scholarship
David Pin nix, Lillington high
school senior and son of Rev. and
Mrs. L. C. Pinnix, former resi
dents, has been awarded a $2,000
scholarship to study at Oberlin
college in Oberlin, Ohio.
Rev. Pinnix is a former pastor
of First Baptist church here.
Young Pinnix has been a student
of Stewart Pratt, professor of pi.
ano at Meredith college, for the
past four years. He is an honor
student at (Lillington high school,
serves as organist for the Lilling.
