HARDIN TELEPHONE YE-7-6111 GROVER. — Harold Delozier of Swainsville and a ministerial stu dent at Limestone College spoke at the morning and evening ser vices Sunday at the First Bap tist church. Mrs. Delozier and their two children were visitors for the ser vice. Wednesday Family Night Sup per is planned by the Women of Shiloh Presbyterian church. Aft er supper a film will be 9hown on “Evangelism.” Next Sunday is Community Sunday at the Shiloh Presbyteri an church. The supply pastor is Rev. Graver Croswell, Jr-., of Montreat and Red Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Tom, Abernathy and Robert, spent Thursday in Greenville with Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Davis, Jr., and children. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W. Hardin attended the commencement ex erases .at Appalachian state Teachers College at Boone Thur sday. Dr. Lawrence G. Derthick, U. S. Commissioner of Education, addressed the graduating class. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll Cline received their Master of Arts degree. Mrs. Cline is the former Rachael Hardin. Mr. and Mrs. H. Carroll Cline are spending two weeks in Tam pa, Fla. When the Clines return they will resume their teaching positions at Gaston Technical In stitute and Grier Junior High School. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Breckley and daughter, Linda Blanton, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., visited Mrs. Eunice Norman Wednesday and were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Broadus Beam. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Ramsey spent last Sunday at Blowing Rock and rode the “Tweetsie Train” to Boone. Mrs. Juanita Wilbraham and daughter of Miami, Fla., have been visiting relatives here for two weeks. They were spend-the night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goforth Tuesday. Hambright and Miss Catherine Hamlbright spent the weekend in Greensboro with Dr. and Mrs. Rufus Hambright and sons. Dr. and Mrs. Charles Adams announce the birth of a daughter at the Kings Mountain hospital August 19th. Mr. and Mrs. James McSwain and Rickey, of Alabama, were Friday guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Tate. Mrs. McSwain is the ! former Ruth Anthonv. Miss Sue Keeter of Lancaster and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kish of Belmont were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Keeter. Mrs. R. L. Hollifield and dau ghter, Mary Jane, spent Satur day and Saturday night with Miss Odessa Moss and Mr and Mrs. W. A. Moss in Gastonia. They attended the funeral of Mr. Grady Thomas in Charlotte Sun day. The widow is the former Ancil Falls of the Patterson Grove community.
