WINS EAC&E AWARD — Steplym A. Jolly, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clyde M. Jolly of Rutherfordton, formerly of Kings Mountain, re
ceived his Eagle Award, highest Award in Scouting, at the October
Court of Honor for the Rutherford County District at Forest City. In
Kings Mountain be was a member of Troop 9, sponsored by Resur
rection Lutheran church and a member of Pack 6 Cub Scouts under
the leadership of Mrs. Guin Whisnant. He is now a member of
Troop 1 of Rutherfordton. He is the grandson of Mrs. C. J. Gault. Sr.,
of Kings Mountain. In the picture with young Jolly, left to right, are
his mother; his pastor. Rev. Lloyd Garner; his Scoutmaster, Tom
Brookhart; and his father.
