Three Projects Underway By Junior Club To Provide Christmas Cheer For Needy The Junior Woman's Clulb Is participating in three projects: this month designed to provide I Christmas cheer ito the needy. Heading the list is the club’s Help-A'Home Project, of which Mrs. Bill Jonas is chairman. Oth er members of the committee are Mrs. John Gamble, Mrs. James Jonas and (Miss Jackie Blanton. (Members are asked to deliver any gifts they wish to contribute to Mrs. Bill Jonas by Wednesday. A family of four children will receive clothing, toys, and food through efforts of clubwomen. Another project is Caswell Training School at Kinston, a state institution for ithe mentally retarded Which receives help Church Groups Meet Monday Women of Central Methodist Church will hold regular monthly meeting Monday night, Dec. 12th. The Spiritual Life Group will meet at 7:30 p. m. following by the general meeting of the Wo men’s Society of Christian Ser vice at 8 o'clock. Both groups meet in the Ladies Bible class room. All members are 'being invited to attend. e Program Kings Mountain Chapter 123, Sigma Chapter Notes Second Birthday At Christmas Banquet Held On Friday Members of Kappa Chapter, Alpha Della Kappa, were guests at dinner at Kings Mountain Wo man's Club house on Friday ev ening by Sigma Chapter. The occasion celebrated the second birthday anniversary of Sigma Chapter. Covers were laid for 3-1 guests and members. MISS PATRICIA ANN COE Christmas Music Featured Program Of Junior Woman's Club On Monday The Junior Woman’s Club heard a program of Ohristma music iby Mrs. B. ML Jarrett of Shelby at their regular Mondaj night meeting. Mrs. Jarrettt played numerous popular numlbers and Ohristma carols, some of which she san£ and others she led the group in singing. Among the favorites were: "Silent Night”; “O Come All Ye Faithful”; “O Little Town of Bethlehem"; “Hark the Her ald Angels Sing”; "Joy to the World"; “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer”; “Santa Claus Is Com ing to Town”; and "Jingle Bells.” Mrs. Jarrettt was introduced by Mrs. Bill Jonas, program chair man. The Christmas program was a highlight of the meeting. In ad dition to members, Mrs. Smith, of Shelby, was also a guest Miss Carolyn Walker was present as a visitor. She earned her bachelor of arts in education with honors in Febru ary 1958 and her master of edu cation degree in August*1959.
