Horton Exchange Vows In Double-Ring Rites New Hope Baptist Church of Charlotte provided the setting Sunday for a 4:30 p. m. exchan ge of wedding vows uniting Miss Juanita Cook of Matthews, for merly of Kings Mountain, and John O. Horton of Charlotte. The bride’s father, Rev. How ard T. Cook, a former pastor of Kings Mountain’s Second Bap tist church, officiated at the dou ble-ring ceremony. | Edward T. Cook escorted his j sister to the altar and gave her in marriage. Her formal gown | was of silk organza and Chan tilly lace and was fashioned with basque bodice featuring a Sabri I na neckkline and long tradition al sleeves. The colonial skirt was designed with Chapel train. Her waist-length veil of illusion was draped from a beaded pearl headpiece and she carried a se mi-cascade of white hybrid or chids and gypsophtia arranged on a white lace - covered Bible showered with yellow ribbon. Robert Edens Wed In England; Now At Home In France Miss Eunice Pamaby of Wark shire, England, and First Lt. Ro bert H. Edens of Kings Moun tain were wed June 30th, in England. The ceremony was performed at 12 noon by Rev. Mr. Clifford in Leicestershire’s St. Nicholas church, built in 1220 at Mowsley. Traditional congregational singing of "Love Divine AM Lov es Excelling” and ‘Now Thank We All Our God” preceded the service, all of which was record ed to be sent to the bride groom’s family. “Wedding Mar ch” by Mendelssohn was played as the bride entered the church with her father. The bride’s gown was a form al design of ice blue satin, fea turing cap sleeves appliqued with White lace daisies and a full sweep train accenting the bell skirt. Her veil of illusion was worn chapel-length with a circlet of cream rosebuds. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, valley lilies and white stephanotis. (Miss Christine Pamaby was her sister’s maid of honor and one of two attendants. Their dresses were street-length designs of lemon brocade with which they wore ciidets of the same flowers with a matching le irton bow tied in the back. They carried pale pink carnations and White lily-of-the-valley. Capt. Earl McClintock was best man for the bridegroom and ushers were members of the groom’s plane crew, including Capt. Rufus Johnson and First Lt. William Robinson. A reception was held after the ceremony on the lawn of the rectory of St. Nicholas Church. The bride and bridegroom cut a three-tiered wedding cake made and decorated by the br' ~ de’s mother. The middle tier alf 1 had an airplane tor decorative highlight. Memlbers of the groom’s family have received the top tier of the cake from the bride’s family. For a wedding trip to South Wales, England, the new Mrs. Edens wore a navy blue suit with white accessories and the roses from her bouquet. BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Christo pher Pamaby of 87 Fulwell Road, Durham, England, are parents of the bride who is a former school teacher. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at Bruntingthorpe RAF Base in Leicester, England. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Christopher Columbus 13 dens, Sr., of Kings Mountain and the late C. C. Edens. He is an honor graduate of Kings Moun tain high school and before en tering the service was employed at Neisler Mills. He is a Naviga tor in the U. S. Air Ponce, pres ently stationed at Toul-Rosiers Air Base near Nancy, France. (France will be home for the newlyweds.
