ialists at Keesler AFB, Miss. Air
man Logan, who has completed
his basic military training, was
selected for the advanced course
on the basis of his interests and
aptitude. He is a 1960 graduate
of Central high school.

Lewis Charged
In Auto Wreck
Robert Lewis, route one res
ident, was Charged with impro
per passing Sunday following an
accident on W. Ming Street
which totally wrecked one car
and took a $300 damage toll to
his vehicle.
The other car was driven by
Jamies Robert (Ledford, also of
route one.
(No injuries were reported.
Investigating officers report
ed both vehicles were advancing
west on W. King Street and Led
ford was turning right off the
thoroughfare. Lewis attempted
to pass on the left and struck the
other vehicle.
Lewis’ attempt to pass was
done at a place marked with
double yellow lines.
'Police reported two minor au
to accidents Friday, the first at
1:40 p. m. at the intersection of
Cherokee and Mountain streets.
Involved in the crash was a

wltt Ledford, of 302 Waco Road,
and Ellerbe W. Griffin, 310 W.
Mountain street.
Investigating officer Charles
Wallace reported Ledford was
going south, on Cherokee Street
as the Griffin car advanced nor
th. The Griffin vehicle made a
left turn onto Mountain Street,
hitting the Ledford vehicle on
the left rear fender.
Damages involved were nom
inal, not being listed on the po
lice report.
The second Friday accident oc
curred at 2:40 p. m. on Railroad
Avenue.
Officers Robert Green and
Charles Wallace reported Ger
ald Burris, of route 1, advenced
down Railroad Avenue and
struck a parked car on the left
rear fender.
The parked vehicle was the
property of Miss Rita Ann Falls,
resident of route three.
Damage to Miss Falls’ car was
listed at $30 while damage to the
Burris vehicle was estimated at
$15.
