He also said that the ori ginal reason for denial, over crowded conditions, was of no further consequence. “The question before the board now is,” he said, “Is it bet ter to have 34 in a 2nd-3rd grade combination (Park Grace) or is it better to have 34 in a class where all the students are in the same grade?” In conclusion he stated that by granting the request the board would be helping itself, the school, the Mauneys and Martha Jane. After a'll present stated their arguments the board discussed the requests at length and by majority vote approved the Mauney transfer. Two members, Dr. Philip Padget and Mrs. Lena McGill abstained. Mr. and Mrs. Amos told the board of their reason for de siring the transfer of their dau ghter from Bethware to North School. After two days attend ance at Bethware, Suzanne has been sitting in the fifth grade at North. The Amos reasons were 1) Suz anne will be able to continue her piano lessons without chan ging teachers; 2) there are in sufficient seats and boks at Bethware; 3) convenience at North are more suited to a large class than at Bethware; and 4) North is near the child’s grand parents and would ease the transportation problem. MORE ABOUT Commission Split (Continue From, Front Page) not see "how the commissions could be split fairly with the Hay Agency and not with Bob Mar.er and the others." ‘‘If my request is denied,” Maner said. ‘‘I would like to have all pertinent information concerning equipment, employ ees, vehicles, etc., so that I can make a true bid for the busi ness.” He also stated that if he were in the Warlick's position he sin cerely believed he would vol untarily split the commission. No action was taken by the board. Chairman Fred Plonk said “The board is not in the picture. It is illegal for the board to di rect a commission split.” Board member Toby Williams stated, “All we can do is get the most insurance coverage for the least dollar.
