Holder will bring the message At the 11 o’clock service Sun day the choir will present a can tata ‘‘Behold The Crucified.” This will be an hour long program consisting of solo, duets and oth er special numbers under the di rection of Bobby Webster with Mrs. Webster as accompanist. A baptismal service was held at the evening worship service Sunday for Miss Linda Ross and Jimmie Ware who united with the church during the recent re vival. This service was followed by the observance of the Lord’s Supper. The Brotherhood met at the church Monday night. Dr. Phillip Paugett of the First Presbyterian church in Kings Mountain was guest speaker. The Hope Class enjoyed a soc ial at the home of Mrs. Daniel Evans Friday night with eight members attending. Secret Pal gifts were exchanged and new names were drawn for the quar ter. Refreshments were served and an hour of fellowship en joyed. Mrs. F. C. Ware is teacher of the class. Henry Bell, Steve and Ronny of Charlotte were Saturday visi tors of Mrs. J. W. Bell. Miss Nancy Hamrick of Gaston Ail Foice Wants Women Enlistees Local U. S. Air Force Recruit ing Sergeant Clyde H. May re ported today that the WAF, the Women in the Air Force, urgent ly requires young women high school graduates for immediate enlistment. Over half the jobs in the Air Force can be performed by women as well as by men and vacancies now exist in all of Memorial School of Nursing in Gastonia spent from Thursday through Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Hamrick. Mr. Hamrick was able to come home from the Kings Mountain hospital Sunday after being a patient there for several days. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Clary of Mt. Although it is still necessary to travel to Recruiting Headquar ters in Charlotte for physical ex amination and interview, It la now possible to schedule this at the convenience of the applicant. John Chapman, the "Johnny Appleseed” of American folk le gend, is buried in Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to the Book of Knowledge.
