CWO And Mrs. Charles B. Wright Davies-Wright Vows Are Exchanged In Chapel Wedding At Romulus, N. Y. Miss Andrea Charlotte Davies of Romulus, New York and CWO Charles B. Wright of Kings Mountain were wed October 5th in a double-ring ceremony per formed at the Base Chapel of Se neca Army Depot in Romulus. Chaplain Douglas Garwood hard the exchange of vows. A reception followed the ceremony at the Officer’s Club in Seneca. The bride was given in marriage by Colonel James O. Green, Base Commander. Her formal wedding gown was designed of white bro cade satin and featured a high neckline with long traditional sleeves. Her waist-length veil of illusion was draped from a tiara of seed pearls and sequins and she carried a cascade of bride's roses. iLt. Ro<i Pressley was best man for the bridegroom and Miss Maureen Pitts was maid of honor. The new Mrs. Wright is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gethin Davies of Bedfordshire, England. Chief Warrant Officer Wright is the son of Mrs. Rosa Wright of Kings Mountain. He attended Kings Mountain high school and was employed by Mauney Hosie ry Mills until he enlisted in the Army in 1950. After a trip to Niagara Falls, New York, the newlyweds will be at home in Romulus, where the bridegroom is stationed. Penley's Women's Society Held Thanksgiving Banquet Penley’s C n a p e 1 Methodist church Women’s Society held a Thanksgiving supper as feature of their regular monthly meeting Saturday evening in the church fellowship hall. Special guests were husbands of the 18 members of the society. Turkey with all the trimmings was served from a table decorat ed with harvest arrangements. Mrs. Wilma Kirby presided and welcomed guests. Mrs. Kirby also offered the invocation. Teachers Tour Drexel Plant Verner Hardin, personnel direc tor of the Shelby division of Drexel Furniture Company, wel comed 26 teachers from the Kings Mountain Public Schools for a tour of the plant Thursday after noon. This is one of the three Drexel plants in North Carolina that up holster furniture. The workers assemble the parts of the chairs and sofas that have been cut in a different plant and upholster them. All products are made to fill special orders. Mr. Hardin stated that a local superintendent trains all uphol sterers, 15 to a class, as they are needed. This second tour in a series of educational visits to area indus tries for Kings Mountain teach ers was arranged by the Plan ning and Resource committee of the local unit of the North Caro lina Education Association. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Gaton Catons Wed In Lutheran Church Rites, Now At Home In Spartanburg, S C. St. Matthew's Lutheran church provided the setting November 2nd at 7 p.m. for an exchange of vows uniting Miss Linda Ann Sanders of Kings Mountain and Marion Caton of Spartanburg, S. i C. Dr. W. P. Gerberding officiated at the double-ring ceremony and Mrs. Darrell Austin was at the organ for a program of tradition al music. Miss Teresa Jolly sang “Whith er Thou Goest” before the cere mony and the benedictional “Lord’s Prayer.” The bride was given in marri age by her father. I-fer wedding gown was designed by her moth er of re - embroidered Alencon lace and peau de soie and featur ed a scalloped Sabrina neckline, long sleeves and a full skirt with back panel of 'tiered ruffles which flowed into a chapel train. Her bouffant waist-length veil of English illusion was attached to a cap of Chantilly lace and loops of crystals and seed pearls. She carried a white orchid on a white Bible. Miss Avis Sears of Shelb^ at tended the bride as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Bren da Herndon of Kings Mountain, Miss Dot McCall of Clio, S. C„ Miss Carol Nelson of Jonesville, S. C. and Miss Donna Caton of Spartanburg, sister of the bride groom. Bridal attendants wore street length dresses of sky blue peau de soie with matching bandeaux and slippers. They carried cres cents of white carnations tied with blue ribbon. Joe Caton was best man for his brother and the list of ushers in cluded the bride’s brother, Bill Sanders, o f Kings Mountain, Randy Dunnagin and Tommy Terry. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Sanders chose a beige and brown suit with matching acces sories and a white carnation shoulder corsage. The bridegroom’s mother wore blue with whiter white accessor ies and a white carnation should er corsage. BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sanders of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride. A 1961 graduate of Kings Mountain high school, she was graduated in 1963 from Spartanburg General Hospital School of X-Ray Technology where she is now employed as an x-ray technician. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Caton of Drayton, South Carolina. He is a 1960 graduate of Sparanburg high school and is now employed at Arkwright Mills in Spartan burg. Out-of-town guests at the wedding included the bride’s sis ter, Mrs. Karl Moss and Mr. Moss of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Joe Caton, Miss Juanita pieary, Mrs. E. V.
