The midget all-stars battled
West to a 13-13 tie Saturday
night before a large crowd at
City Stadium.
Danny Blackburn of Grover
hit the scoring column for the
all stars early in the first period
on a 45-yard run. The extra point !
attempt tailed, giving the stars
an early 6-0 lead.
But West struck back in the
second quarter on two and 65
yard runs by fullback Wayne
Miillinax. Mike Sisk add<*d one
extra point putting West ahead
13-6.
Blackburn shook loose in the
third stanza and went over ftom
the West ten making the score
13-12. Joe Cornwell of Hast ran
the |M»ir,t after, tying the score
13-13. Neither team was able to
store in the final |>eriod, and the
learns left the field with a tie in
the scon- books.
The all-stars picket! up eight

yards, completed one pass, and
didn't fumble Rocky Goforth of
Kant intercepted two of Gee per
Howard's passes.
