In the past, anyone could rwin nuy a nook on decorating and follow the rules concerning what goes with what, which colors may be used togcthei. how to rec ognize and use diderent peri ods of furniture, etc. While there are still many such hooks, and while they still contain much that is helpful, there ha\c been vast changes in the thinking of professional decorators and furniture store personnel. More and more people are disregarding all of the old rules. Does green go wdth blue? Does orange go with yellow? Does Early American go with Contemporary? Many of the old rules said “no” to ques tions like these. Now. how ever. the answers may well be* “yes”. Thom are new. ex citing ideas and concepts in decorating.
