New Jersey, were married in a pre- Easter wedding. The bride is a graduate of Friendship Junior college of Rock Hill. S. C. Mr. Perkins is a graduate of Benedict college, Columbia, S. C., and is now serving in the U. S. Army ot Fort Dix, New Jersey. Plonk, retire<' Kings Mountain businessman, has been appointed executive secretary of the Western Carolinas League, President John Henry Moss an nounced Wednesday. Mr. Plonk has been assistant to President Moss since 1961, second year of the revived West ern Carolinas op<nation. Mr. Plonk is an army veteran of W'orld War I, having served in Europe. He was previously secretary of the late U.S. Con gressman Yates Webb, of Shelby. He is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne college, a member of Resurrec tion Lutheran church, the Amer ican Legion and Veterans of For- bign Wars.
