the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hillard
C. Hunter of 105 Davidson St.,
Kings Mountain.
Cadet Hunter was engaged in
the flying and support phases of
operations at the Air Force in
stallation A graduate of Com
pact High School, he will be eli-
■gible for appointment as an Air
Force second lieutenant upon
gradiuation and completion of
AFROTC training.

social security tax (3 S/SVr)
from your wages. She will send
in this amount, plus a similar a-
mount of her own...along with
your name and your social secur
ity account number...to the In
ternal Revenue Service. The
wages paid you will be credited
to your individual social security
wage record.

will build credit for: payments
for yourself and .your family in.
your old-age or if you become
disabled: payments for your
family in case of your death.
Your employer may not be a-
ware of the fact that your wages
are covered by the Social Secur
ity program. (As little as S4 a
week adds up to more than $50 in
three months, if you are regu
larly employed.l You owe it to
yourself to remind her...and to
make sm-e she has your correct
social security account number.

toward future benefits. (If you

Wright's Hnal
Rites Conducted
Funeral rites for James Heni-y
Wright. 55, of Blacksburg, S. C.,
brother of Floyd Wright of
Kings Mountain and Mrs. E. Z.
Whitworth and D. A. Wright of
Grover, were held Tuesday at
3:30 p.m. from Allen Memorial
Baptist church of Grover, with
the Rev. William P. Shytle and
the Rev' Ray Barrett officiating.
:Mr. Wright died at his home
about 11:30 Saturday night. He
was a spooler department fore
man at Hamrick Mill in Gaffney
and a member of Allen Memorial
Baptist church.
Other survivors include his
wife; three other brothers and
one additional sister.

Operator Course

Pajnio. son of Mr. and Mrs. VMI-
liam J. Pa.vne, Route 1. Bo.x 2,
Grover. .N. C., completed an m-
termediate speed radio operator
course at Fort Jackson, S. C.,
July 29.
During the course Payne i-c-
ceived instruction iti basic radio
and electrical tlicoiy and was
also taught the international
Jlorsc Code.
The 20-year-oId soldier entered
the Army in February 1965 and
completed basic combat training
at Fort Jackson.
He is a 1963 graduate of Kings
Moiuiain Jlish School.
