That ash tray is a symbol of the way we make cars: Paying extra attention to the little things as well as the big ones, as a way of making extra sure your ’67 Chevrolet gives you that sum feeling ' CHEVROLET k Maylo Church Was Setting On Saturday For Wilson-Alien Double-Ring Rites Maylo Methodist church of Gastonia provided the setting Sat urday for a 5:30 p.m wedding uniting Miss Sdsan Elizabeth Wil son of Gastonia and Second !Lt. Charles Oren Allen of Kings Mountain in marriage. The Rev. Ralph Reid officated, using the double-ring service. Mrs. Royee Rhea was vocalist for the program of nuptial music and Mrs. Robert Hicks was at the organ. Mrs. Rhea sang “Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee" and “O Perfect Love" before the cere mony. Th altar of the church was ar ranged with spiral tapers in brass candelabrum, white flowers and palms. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of silk organza and im ported peau d’ange lace over faille taffeta. The empire bodice was styled with a bateau neck line, and a plastron of lace traced with pearls accented the waist line and extended in garlands down the front panel of the skirt. The A-line skirt, finished at the hemline with a band of scalloped lace, had a detachable Watteau train caught at a bow at the back and spread to Chapel length. Her formal lenght mantilla veil of triple layers of English tulle was appliqued with garlands of Alencon lace motifs in rose de sign. She carried a cascade of white roses centered with a white orchid. Mrs L. C. Lathan of Gastonia attended her sister as matron of honor. Her formal-length gown of ice pink crepe was designed along empire lines with wine vel veteen bodice featuring elbow sleeves. She wore a matching vel veteen headpiece dropped with bouffant veil and carried a cas cade of mixed pink flowers. Participating in the wedding as honorary attendants were Miss Emily Butler- Mrs. Neil Jenkins, Miss Joan Holder, Miss Mary Reed, all of Gastonia, and Miss* Alice Holeman and Miss Jane Miller, both of West Jefferson. They wore street-length pastel dresses and carried a single long stemmed pink carnation. The bride’s mother was gown ed in rose peau de soie with matching hat and a corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom’s mother chose mauve pink silk shantung with matching- accessories and a cor sage of pink roses Best man for the bridegroom was his father. The list of ushers included L. C. Lathan of Gas tonia, brother-in-law of the bride; Arthur Allen- Jr. of Kings Moun tain, brother of the bridegroom; Royee Rhea of Whiteville; and Barry Jenkins of Gastonia.
