State University. Bridges, a freshman at Appala-1 chian, played four years of high; school foothali at Kings Moun tain, starring at tackle and de-i fensive guard. Bridges has been in the Gas-1 ton Memorial Hospital for over a week now recuperating from an operation performed by Dr.1 Miller of the Roberts, Miller, and King Clinic in Gastonia. He will be out for the rest of the season but hopefully he will be back in the game next year, j He is still in the hospital and1 may be there for as much as another week. This will cause him to have to drop nut of school' for one quarter to let the torn ligaments in his knee heal. Bridges started practice on a Saturday and was injured on Wednesday of the following week. He is in a cast from the waist |, down which should be removed in about six weeks.
