I Humphries' I Rites Conducted ! Funeral rites for Avery Brel! i Humphries, 60, were held Satur- I day at 4 p.m. from Piedmont Bap- ^ ti.st church of which he Was a member, interment followihg in Mountain Rest cemetery. Mr. Humphries died Thursday. August 1st, at 2 a.m. in the Kings Mountain hospital after illness of several years. A native of Cleve land County, he was son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jack Humphries. He was a retired tex tile employee and a veteran of World War 11. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nora Batson Humphries; three sons, Hubert Humphries and Charles Humphries, both of Kings Mountain, and James Humphries of Gastonia; three daughters,! Mrs. Alda Jean Hayes of Rock' Hill, S. C. and Mrs. Brenda Car- rigan and Mrs. Selena Carrigan, both of Kings Mountain; and iour .iistcis,iilrs. Wesley Qseen and Mt4. V. V. Adams, both of 'Clovet,'S.
