B. Goforth, on Mountain Street. MiiJS Patterson chose a white linen sheath for the luncheon and also took the occasion to present her w’odding gifts to her attend ants. Tlie 10 guests were seated at one large table in the dining room, each place marked with a yellow knit hag of rice ti<*d with yellow satin hows. A brass bird cai e, filled with Eiglish ivy and whil<» gaiza mums with yellow centers, arr.anged around two white love birds perched on a stand, decorated the center of the table. Largo yellow bow's tied to the top of the cage and cascading over the sides, completed the centerpiece. The hostess’ gift to Miss Pat terson was a set of teflon coated cookware*. Mrs. Henson Is Elected Mrs. Frank Hendon ^tonday ,va.« elected vice-president of the Junior Woman’s chib to fill the tinexpired term of Miss Peggy Ross, who has resigned to enter night school at Oaston college. Club members accepted Miss Ross' re.signation “wilh regret” and extended to her appreciation for "a ,1ob well done as the club's program chairman.” Miss Ross was elected to a tw'o-year term which expires in May 1969. Speights of Charleston. Mr. Plonk’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Samuel Plonk. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pollock, ^ and Mrs. Clarence Sloan Plonk ^ and the late Mr. Plonk, all of ^ K'm^ Mountain, are his grand parents. Amid greenery and candelabra, Miss Marvin and Mr. Plonk ■‘Re peated their vows and exchanged rings with Reverend Glenn E. Smith, the bride’s pastor, officiat ing. Bob Smith, son of the pastor and friend of the couple, present ed the wedding music and Miss Judy Smith of Anderson. S. C., a college friend of the couple, sang ‘The Wedding Prayer” and “Sav iour Like a Shepherd Le 'd I's." The groom’s father acted as best man. Groomsmen wvre Ken ny Plonk, the groom’s brother, and Billy Patterson, cousin of the groom, both of Kings Mountain. The bride had as her attendants her sisters, Misses Louisa and Sara Mandn. They wore identical floor-length gowns of mint green chiffon over pcau do snie, fash ioned wnth emp're waistlines and quarter-length slceyes. Mass green velveteen ribbon accented the high waist, forming in the back a bf»w with hemline streamers They carried cascade bouquets of white Marguerite daisies and fuji mums. The bride, an attractive brun ette, was given in m:irria':e by her father. She was lovely in a candlelight gown and veil design- e<l and made by her mother. The hofiice and elbow-length sleeves were of brocade with neck and ^ sleeves piped in satin picot edg- Z^'ing. The skirt was of peau de soio, sofUy gathered and pleatetl at the waist. Each tier of the two-tiered chapel length veil was trimmed with hand-rolled and whipnod oieot edging and her im ported illusion veil fell from a erown of hrof'acU* and picot leaves.
