I Captain Sims recently won his promotion while stationed at Laurel Bay Marine AFB, The Sims family also visited Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Rathbone, parents of Mrs. Sims. Kimberly Ann Falls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Falls, celebrated her first birthday Tuesday. November 25th. Family parties were given by her grandparents Sunday aft ernoon Tuesday night, Kimberly’s cake was a lit tle baby doll dressed in pink. The cake was cut served with party refresh ments. Kimberly is granddaugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Hu bert Clinton Nichols of Gastonia and Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Falls of Kings Mountain. Her great-grandparents are Mrs. O. E. Glenn of Bessemer City and Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Nichols of Gastonia. Present for the parties were Kimberly's grandpar ents and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lanford. Lisa and Lanny, fMr. and Mrs. Robert Seism, Roxanne. Lynn and Carla, and Rita, Ronnie. Tina and Scottle Falls.
