TOURNAMENT DATE SET
September tournament of the Foothills Golf
League will be played at the Blowing Rock Golf Course
on September 14 and 15.
Invifatlon for registration has been received by
Mrs. Charles Mauney, Foothills representative of the
Kings Mountain Worrien's Golf Association.
Women who want to enter the tourney should
contact Mrs. Mauney before September 6. Mrs. Mau
ney said a reception is planned for Sunday night fol
lowed by golf competition Monday and luesciay and
a banquet Monday night at the Green Park Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. hfomer Harmon were hosts Sunday
at their home on Grover Road at a family reunion
honoring Chief Warrant Officer (Ret) James W. Mc
Daniel, Mrs. McDaniel and daughter, Pamela, who had
been visiting relatives from Fayetteville.
Picnic lunch was spread.
Other family members attending were Mr. and
Mrs, Roy Cothran of Shelby. Mr. and Mrs. James Led
ford and Terry, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd MdDanlel, Mrs.
