George and Bridges both will be beginning their third year a.s starters Friday when KMHS hosts Bessemer City at 8 p.m. Smitli started at time.s on de fense la.st season. The worst injury so far in the short practice season has been a serious knee injury to Mike Missbach, a sophomore offensive lineman from Huntington. N. Y. The 6-0, 225-pounder had been counted on heavily to earn a spot in the offensive line. Coach Lit ton said that he would be out for the season. _ The Bulldogs he’d multiple drills during the first wet^k each ^ " day, but oncoa-day drills began with the beginning of classes Thur.'^das. Litton said tliat his coaching staff ha.J si>ent mov t a: the time working on fundamentals such a.« pass drfen.se, work with the de fensive ackfield, covering for punts, timing and offensive and defensive team drills. Litton has only eight seniors and eight junior.s so his squad of seme 75 men is short of ex- p>erienco.
