The 10th Congressional District representative Is seeking his eighth term in Washington in the Nov. 2 general election. Carl DeVane, program chairman for Rotary, arranged Rep. BroyhlU’s visit at noon. ties, Dr. Hunt said "what we hear the most is about the general loss at confidence In government and present leadership. People are not asking for anything in particular except that they truly be represented In Washington. The people are feeling left out of the scheme of things and It bothers them a great deal.” Hunt said the Harris Poll recently Indicated that two out of three Americans feel they have lost their voice In Washington. People, by and large, feel the system Is alrlf^t and want to make It work. “I consider myself a citizen- legislator, in that order,” Himt said. "I believe I can restore some of the lost confidence In our government among the people. “Our district Is made up of people from farming backgrounds, people who are en gaged In farming now, plant workers, small businessmen and professional men,” he said. “I have a unique background In that I came from a farming family, I am engaged in farming now. I lived In a plant village for 10 years In a company owned house. I do own and operate five small businesses and I am a trained professional man. I think this background does enable me to relate to the general population of the district.” Hunt said he has been reassured during this campaign there are many, many people "out there with good common sense, Judgement and concern for others. Patriotic people. I think if our leaders would simply follow the Instincts of the people that our nation would be better off. "This Is what I hc^e to be able to do,” Dr. Hunt said. “To bring Washington closer to the people.” ■'-ead su®®- uea"^',y Forum Slated By Democrats * opm NIgMt VI 9 W Um Ybur MASTER CHARGE CvS Prices Good thru Saturday KM Plata!
