Janet was ac companied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bagwell. Miss Bagwell ex pressed appreciation to the Unit for her spon sorship and said that the 312 girls who attended learned "a lot more about our government and about how our of ficials are elected.” Mrs. Ruth Gamble, president. Introduced the visitors after a covered dish supper was spread. Also recognized as a guest was Post 155 Commander Rick Moore. Mrs. Hubert Aderholdt vice president, gave a report of the recent state convention of the Auxiliary held In Ra leigh. Delegates from the local Unit were Mrs. Gamble, Mrs. Aderholdt, Mrs. Stone- wall Jackson, Mrs. Charles Hampton, Mrs. Audley Tlgnor and Miss Elizabeth Stewart. Iflss Stewart, the new state president Installed at the recent con- ventlMi, installed new officers of Unit 156. Including Mrs. Orangrel Jolly, president; Mrs. Ken Cloninger, first vice president and mem bership chairman; Mrs. Tom Brooks, second i vice president; Mrs. Jerry Ross, secretary; Mrs. Jackie D. Barrett,, treasurer; Mrs. Alma Whiteside, historian; Mrs. Mallie Parker and Mrs. Willie Howell, chaplains; and Mrs. Stonewall Jackson and Mrs. Charles Allen, sergea nt -at-arms. Members completed plans for hosting the state-wide Executive Board meeting of the Auxiliary to be held this Saturday and Sunday and beginning with registration at noon at Royal VUla. The Unit will serve luncheon from 12:15 until 1:30 p. m Saturday at the American Legion Building. Workshops will be held from 1:30 until 3 p. m. with the regular sessi(»i to begin at 3 p. m. Members will have supper at Royal 'Villa that evening and at 7:30 p. m. will go to B. N. Barnes Auditorium for a performance of "Remember 1776-1976’’ to be held at 8 p. m. and to which the public is invited to attend. A joint memorial and com munion service for both the American Legion and Auxiliary will be held at 9:15 a. m.
