Glass Post sen VFW and Auxiliary, their husbands and wlvese, dined and danced at the traditional party Saturday night at the Poet Home on Grover Rd., Turkey and ham with all the tilmlngs were served from festive tables. -oOo- Leglontialres of Post 166, their wives, and members of the Auxiliary and their husbands dined and danced to the country music of "Bits and Pieces" Saturday evenli^ at the Post Home on York Rd. The ballroom and foyer were festive with red and green decorations. Gene Stone was winner of the 10-speed red bicycle presented by the Auxiliary In a prize drawing con ducted by the Unit. Mrs. Jackie D. Barrett, chair man, said that proceeds are earmarked for veterans projects. State President Elizabeth Stewart drew the winning ticket. Miss Stewart has recently returned after attending Auxiliary- sponsored Christmas parties at all four veterans hospitals In the state at which hospitalized veterans were presented gifts from all 230 Auxiliary units In the state. -oOo- Saturday evening, Grover Rescue Squad members and Invited guests held the traditional holiday supper at the Grover Squad building. -oOo- Country Clubbers dined and danced at the tradi tional holiday party Friday evening at the Country Club. -oOo- Publlsher and Mrs. Gar land Atkins entertained membeza of the staffs of General Publishing Cb., also publishers of The Mirror-Herald, at their river cottage In Belmont Friday evening. Dinner was served buffet-style and Christmas presents were exchanged. Gaston College Dean’s List Is Announced The winter quarter Dean’s List has been sin- nounced at Gaston College. In order to qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must take a minimum course load of not less than 13 quarter hours, and maintain at least a "B" (3.0) average with no more than one "C” and no grade lower than a "C."
