moved Into a tie for first
place In the Southwestern
Conference Thursday
night at Bums when they
handed the UtUe BuUdogs
their first loss of the
season, 66-60.
The victory gave the
Little Mountaineers a 8-1
SWC record and 4-1 overall
mark heading Into a
Friday afternoon game at
home against Chsrryvllle.
The KMHS victory left
Oie four Cleveland County
high schools — Kings
Mountain, Bums, Shelby
and Crest — tied for the
league lead with one loss
apiece.
Coach Dennis Dukes was
highly pleased with hla
Little Mountaineers’
performance Thursday.
"Burns was 6-0 going
Into the game,” noted
Dukes, "and we just went
up there and set our minds
on upsetting them. Every
body played a real go^
ballgame and we had ex
cellent rebounding."
Kings Mountain placed

and Jerome Miller leading
the way with 14 points
apiece. Mike Adams culded
