The same schedule applied this past Monday. At the senior high first period class was dropped for the day In order for the remainder of the day's class schedule to be on time. Car-Train Accident A Kings Mountain couple. Injured In a car- train accident near the Lithium Corporation Plant Sunday, are still listed In satisfactory and poor condition. Lovlda Harrison Is In a Charlotte hospital where her condition was reported Monday as satUfsctory. Her husband, Larry Harri son, Is In Gaston Memorial Hospital listed In poor condition. Ihe accident occurred about 6:10 p. m. Siuiday at the Southern Railroad crossing on Rural Paved Rd. 1402. Mrs. Harrison was driving. Apparently she attempted to beat the train across the Inter section, but the wheels of the vehicle lost traction on the Ice and snow. The train struck the car on the right front and knocked It 164 feet. Mrs. Harrison, who was taken to Kings Mountain Hospital, then transferred to Gaston Memorial and finally to a Charlotte hospital, sustained head Injuries and a broken arm. Larry Harrison, 48, suf fered a broken leg and shoulder. He was pinned In the car until Bessemer City Rescue workers freed him. No charges have been filed In the accident. It will deal with the major Issues Involved In ad vocacy, from planning comprehensive programe to provide more effective services on the local level, to the need for advocacy on a one-to-one relationship In special situations.
