Thurman Lewia to be used . in eatabllahing a chair of Biblical Languages and Semitic studies. The gift was willed to the coUege with Dr. Lewis’ wish that "perhaps In death I will be able to establish what I could not In life.” ■ Oardner-Webb Is the only Baptist college In the nation offering an under graduate major in Biblical languages and literature, and Is the only church- related college In the South offering an undergraduate major In both Hebrew and ] KOfne or (New Tsstament) Greek, according to Dr. Vann Murrell, chairman of the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy.
