He was a charter member and secretary of Second Baptist Church for more than 60 years, and a deacon in the church. Surviving are hla wife, Mrs. Ivey Culbereon Lank ford; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Lankford of Kings Mountain; one brother, Herbert Lankford of Beaeemer City; and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Shulte of Gaatonla, Mrs. Inez Morgan of UUca, N.
