Accident Damages High
No charges were
preferred but damages
were high In several
automobile accidents
occurring In the city
during the weekend.
According to report of
Investigating Ptl. J. A.
Burton, Kyle F. Smith,
operating a 197B Ford,
opened his car door near
the post office on E.
Mountain St. Thursday and
Into the path of a 1978 Ford
operated by Carol M.
Brazzell of 811 Fulton Dr.
Damages were estimated
at 1800 to the Smith vehicle
and 8600 to the Brazzell
car.
Larry Jackson, of Rt. 8,
operating a 1970 Chevy
truck, told Investigating
Ptl. Tom Gladden that he
started to make a left turn
off Battleground Ave.
Friday and failed to see
another car operated by
Donald W. Johnson of 707
develsmd Ave. Damages
to the left door of the
Johnson Ford were
estimated at 8800 and
damages to the right rear
fender sind bumper of the
Jackson vehicle were
placed at 8900.
A "rear end” collision
occurred Friday at 4:15 p.
m. on busy East King
Street when a 1966 Ford
