The baby weighed eight pounds, one ounce. Other member of the Murphy family Is three and one-half year old Steven. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bud Huffstetler. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mra. Sam Worthen. Jason's mother Is the former Martha Huff stetler. Bride-Elect Feted ■.1. At Drop- In Shower Miss Kathy Wright, whose wedding to Charles L. Dover, Jr. of York, S. C., takes place May 1st at 3 p. m. in Kings Mountain Church of God, waa hon ored Saturday evening at a drop-in bridal shower In the Fellowship Hall of Kings Mountain Church of God. Entertaining from 6 to 9 p. m. were Mrs. Calvin Hughes, Mrs. Gloria Hughes, both of Kings Mountain, and Mra. Michael Bookout of Gas tonia, assisted by mem bers of the Ladles Auxiliary of the church. Forty guests showered the bride-to-be with miscellaneous household gifts. Mias Wright wore a long green puty dress and was presented a shoulder bou quet of white mums. A color motif of green and white was featured in decorative details and refreshments. Overlaid with lace over green, the refreshment table was centered with an arrange ment of white mums and greenery. Punch was served with green and white cake squares, mints and cheese straws from crystal appointments. Special guests, who re ceived with the bride-to-be, were her mother, Mra. James R. Wright; her grandmother, Mrs. Sidney Short; her great-grand mother, Mrs. Robert Curry of Shelby; the bridegroom- to-be’s mother, Mrs. Charles Dover, Sr. of York, S. C.; his grandmother, Mrs. Fulvla Dover of York, S. C. and his aunt, Mrs. Jerry Dover of York, S. C. Honored MSS 6REB«0USE Vegetable and Rower Rants Hanging Baskets Located On Oak Grove Road BRIDE-ELECT HONORED Miss Peggy Clark, whose wedding to Randy Robin- sen takes place April 38 In Clover ARP Church, was honored Saturday at a mis cellaneous shower hosted by Mrs. Albert Crawford. Entertaining with Mrs. Crawford were Mra. Kenneth Crawford, Mrs. Hal Gibson, and Mrs. Roy Swofford. The refreshment table was covered with a green cloth overlaid with antique lace and centered with pastel daisies In a diver bowl with silver holders and green tapers. Fnilt punch was served from an antique crystal bowl as the guests served themselves cake squares, blackeyed suaans, tlmbles filled with chicken salad and vegetable sandwiches from silver trays. Miss Clark, was remembered with gifts of her chosen crystal by the hostesses.
