Woman’s Club bers donated the home made desserts which were served during the games. Prizes In bridge went to Dr. Carl Garrison of Dallas, high scorer; Mrs. John Warllck, Mrs. Jack Hauser, Mrs. John Plonk, Mrs. Martin Harmon and Mrs. David Faunce. Mrs. Haywood B. Lynch held the consolation award. Mrs. Bun OofOrth won high score In rook and Miss Margaret Harmon placed second. The door prize, a hand- scnne sUver tray donated by DeUln^r’s Jewel Shop, was won by Mrs. Carl Garrison of Dallas. ’The Garrisons were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Mauney. Mrs. Philip Baker, Woman’s Club president, welcomed guests and Mrs. Charles Mauney, benefit chairman, announced rules of the games. Tallies were card of vegetables. Including carrots, tomatoes, and squash, and Mrs. H. Carl Mayes had arranged a large centerpiece, fea turing spring vegetables, for the refreshment table which was also decorated In the spring gardening theme. ’Ten games of bingo were played after the bridge and rook games and prizes were homemade desserts donated by Woman’s Club members, sponsors of the event. MO’IHER-DAUOHTER EVENT A crowd of 86 mothers and daughters attended ae Mother-Daughter banquet at Central United Metho dist Church, featuring a supper of baked ham and accessories prepared by Men of the Church. ’Ihe theme of the pro gram, ”Ye Are ’The Vine,” featured decorations throughout the fellowship hall. Ivy decorated the tables and potted plants were given as prizes to the families of Kellv Dixon and Delbert Dixon, with most members present, (our generations, and to Mrs. Ann Mayes Ware of Charlotte who traveled the furthest distance to attend. Members of ’’Salt Company,” the Children’s Choir of the Church, enter tained the group as the program. The Invocation was given by Rev. Robert Bog- gan. Mrs. C. J. Holtschulte, president of the Women’s Society of Christian Ser vice, presided. -oOo- IT’SAOIRL Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Moss of Grover announce the arrival of their first child, a daughter, Court ney Denise, April 15, Cleveland Memorial Hospital, Shelby. ’The baby weighed seven pounds, 13 ounces and Is granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Yates Smith and Mrs. Gladys Moss of Grover and the late William Lawrence Moss. Guests were members of Kings Mountain Little Theatre, of which Mr. Champion Is president. The engaged pair received a shower of miscellaneous household gifts for their new home. Miss Humphries was presented a corsage of white camatlone which she pinned to the shoulder of her party dress.
