The local high school captured second place In French aonga competltlan. The Lenolr-Rhyne festival was extremely •uccessful, attracting more than 1400 high school students for a day of fun and competition with foreign laniuages. Local students par ticipating Included Sherry Short and diuty Wells who sang a duet; Oene Fenner and David Bolton who participated In a short skit; Alleen Breiman, Robin McSwaln and dndy Wens, who read poetry; and participating In song groups were Todd OatU, David Barrett, Cindy Wells, Stan Alexander, Sherry Short, Robin Mc Swaln, Janet Edwards, John Noblltt, Chuck Walker, Sharon Foster, Jan Rushings, Jewel Reavls and Jeff Boggsn. Other students attending the festival were Clayton Wright, John Plonk, Richard Ross, Kathy Roberts, Sharon Bridges, Herbie Beam, Mary Arm strong, Vickie Metcalf, Terri Lofelace, Deanna Valentine, David Rohles, Barbsuw McClain, Tory Oates, Barbara Patrick, David Robinson, Priscilla Rlckenbacker, John Jones, Jeff Prescott, Roy FWson, Bete White, Atysen White, Lort Smith and Charles Bumgardner.
