North Carolina Sunday to
launch a national program
of the Lutheran Church In
America. Strength for
Mlsslan, as the program Is
entitled, will challenge
each parish of the
Lutheran Church In
America to examine Its
faith and Ufe and then to
provide the oi^ortunlty to
respond to the urgent need
of the church on a local
national, and global basis.

overall objectives of
Strength for Mission.
The concept of Strength
for Mission was created by
the grassroots mem
bership of the Lutheran
Church In America.

1874 and 1976 reqmnded to
resolutions and proposals
for the need of such an
emphasis. The 6,100
ccngregatloiis of the L. C.
A. will spend the
remainder at 1077 In the
’’Education and
MoUvaUon” phase. A
financial goal at $30 million
dollars has been set by the
church to stimulate and
extend the mission activity
of the church.
