Page SA-MIRROR-HERALD-Thnnday, Jme *, ttftl Games Are Set Tonight Three games were played last Saturday In the 14-15 year (dd division of the Babe Ruth League here with the Red Sox, Mace donia and Mountaineers taking the honors. Ihe Red Sox took a close game from the VFW, 4-8 with Eric Dixon as the winning pitcher. Losing pitcher Jody Deaton struck out 14 batters before Terry Chap man bsmged a two-run homer In the fifth to put the Sox ahead. Ricky Chap man also earned two hits for the sox. For the VFW. leading hitters were Dusme Brown and Steve Crawford with one hit each. Macedonia defeated Robo, 7-1. The winning pitcher was Tim Leach, who also earned two hits for Macedonia. Losing pitcher was Danny Barker. Robo’s lead hitter was Todd Blalock with one. The Mountaineers blanked Qrover, 16-0 behind the pitching of Wade Harrington. Har rington only gave up three hits. Lead hitters for the win ners were Eric Moore, S for 4, and Lynn Hayes, 2 for 8. Losing pitcher was Steve Hames. Leading hitters were Dean Bledsoe, 2 hits, and Junior Roes, one hit.
