Seberts Are Married McGee Presbyterian Church In Charlotte was the setting Thuraday, August 18 for the 6 p. m. wedding of Miss Jenni fer Hollis Short and Mr. Elwood Marshall Sebert. Itie Rev. John A. Luddy officiated at die double • ring ceremony and music was per formed by John Brad- bum of Charlotte, organist. The Processional was "Trumpet Vtduntary" by Henry Purcell. Tlie Recessional was “Trumpet Tune" also by Purcell. llie church was decorated with a daisy theme and accented with yellow sweetheart roses suid the pulpit was flanked with numerous white candles. Given In marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown with a long chapel train, trimmed In chantlUy lace and pearls. Ilie sleeves ended In French cuffs. She carried a bouquet of white daisies and yellow sweetheart roses. Miss Beth Ogbom of Charlotte, a close friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore an Old-fashioned llg^t yellow dress with patterns of daisies and lace and carried a nosegay of yellow daisies and yellow sweetheart roses. Ilie bridegroom’s brother, Tim C. Sebert of Charlotte, served as best man. CAKECUTTING Following the cere mony a cakecutting was held In the church fellowship hall, hosted by Mrs. Estelle Short, Mrs. Jewell Keathley, Mrs. BlUle Beman, Mrs. WlUle Welch, and Mrs. Connie Sebert. The reception was arranged by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Ector Short and the cake was made by Mrs. Helen B. Bailey. BRIDE AND GROOM The bride Is the daughter of Mrs. BlUle Beman of Charlotte and Jim Short of Sunland, Calif. She Is a graduate of Myers Paric High School and wlU attend Central Piedmont Com munity CoUege. The bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood J. Sebert of Matthews. He Is a graduate of Carmel Academy of Charlotte and attends UNC-Char- lotte as a business administration student. For the wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the bride wore a two-piece yellow dress with a corsage of yeUow roses lifted from the bridal bouquet. C. and have resided most of their lives In Kings Mountain. They have three children, Bobby F. Phillips who is married to the former Cindy Crawford and has presented Mr. and Mrs. PhUllps with two grandchildren, John Michael and James Andrew; and Jenny Louise Phillips and Kenneth Scott PhlUlps, both of the home.
