HOLLY FARMS MIXED FRYER PARTS Floral Fair Brought In Autumn Autumn came to Kings Mountain Wednesday to the delight of the large crowds who attended the Woman's Club Community Festival and floral fair. Fall flowers, foliage, hanging baskets, roses, handmade crafts of area adults and young people and a bazaar attracted visitors to the Woman’s Club. It Is the first year In many that the Woman's Chib has featured floral arrangements and the crowds showed their ap proval. Five garden clubs — Kings Mountain, Open Gate, Magnolia, Town and Country and Good Barth exhibited - autumn arrangements for Judging. Lib Stewart The city's newest club — Good Earth — copped the first prize, voted by the public, and an entry featuring pyracantha berries In a crescent shape against an orange drape with horn of plenty, fruit and a scarecrow and Halloween witch for ac cessories. Preparing the arrangement were Melanie Ballard, Emily Suber, Gall Cheshire and Sarah Faunce. He will represent the College at Presbyterian churches In the area. The campaign spear heads an 84>peal for a greatly Increased endow ment for enrichment of Lees-McRae'8 academic program. The immediate needs of the College are to provide $886,000 to Im prove faculty and staff compensation and $700,000 for faculty development and teaching equipment. Rev.
