Photo By Lib Stewart Shelby Junior Charity League Sponsors Tour Lib Stewart To usher in the holiday j season In Cleveland' County, the Shelby Junior Charity League vill spon sor a Holiday Street Tour Dec. 2, 3, and 4 of six Shelby homes beautifully decorated for the holiday season. A tea table In one of the homes will offer refresh ments and handmade cmftsand baked goods will be offered for sale. Tour hours will be 10 a. m. until 4 p. m. and 6 until 9 p. m. Friday and Saturday and from 1 until 6 p. m. on Sunday. L^nch have returned from Chamblee, Oa. where they attended "The Sound of Music" presented by the Drama Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Chamblee. Peggy Craig Bryant, daughter of the Kings Mountain Craigs, por trayed the lead female musical role of Marla Rainer. Sam Harrell, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Haywood E. Lynch, was cast In a lead male role as Herr Zeller, a Nazi spy. Hotdog Supper, Crafts Sale ‘ Set Saturday ; Senior Citizens of David Baptist Church will spon sor a hotdog supper ind crafts sale Sat., Nov. ittth, from 10 a. m. until 4 p. m. In the David Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Hotdogs with all the trimmings will be availa ble plus homemade fried pies, homemade cakes and pies. Miss Jane Elizabeth Harrell, daughter of Lossle and Sam Harrell, helped design, build and paint the scenery for the show which was performed In the Theatre Building of the Georgia Retardation Cen ter and proceeds from the event went to the Center and other charities. The Drama Ministry presents four religious plays and a musicals annually which runs for three evenings and one matinee performance. Mrs. Lynch said a packed house saw the opening of the muelcale. The Georgia Retardation Center Is a residential facility for the develop- mentally disabled and la operated by the Division of Georgia Mental Health, Georgia Department of Human Resources. Laurie Jenkins Is DAR Good Citizen Of Year Laurie Jenkins, Kings Mountain Senior High senior. Is DAR Good Citi zen for the Year and was recognized at Wednesday’s meeting at the home of Mrs. W. L.
