Parton, 89, Kings Mountain realtor and former owner of Parton's Funeral Home, were conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from Central United Methodist Oiurch of which he was a member. His pastor. Rev. Robert Boggan, officiated at the rites, assisted by Rev. Robert Allen, pastor of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Qiurch, and entombment was In Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Parton died Thurs day morning in Kings Mountain Hospital after several years Illness. He was a native of Collins ville, Ala. who moved to Kings Mountain from Hay wood County, N. C. In 1926 and opened and operated Parton's Furniture Com pany. In 1931 he opened Parton’s Funeral Home which he sold to J. Ollie Harris In 194S. Since 1915, Mr. Parton has been self- employed as a real estate broker. Son of the late W. H. and Salena Hawkins Parton, he was married to Ethel Love Woody of Cattaloochee, N. C. In 1917. Mrs. Parton died In 1961. Surviving are his son, S. Lynwood Parton of Kings Mountain; his daughter, Mrs. Tom Trott of Kings Mountain; three grand children, Libby (Mrs. Jerry) Blanton of Kings Mountain, Anne Trott Russell of Cary and Linda (Mrs. Richard) Ellested of Columbia, Md. and two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Laura EUestad of Columbia, Md. Active pallbearers were John O. Plonk, John War- lick, Howard Bryant, Paul Walker, George Blalock and Jacob Dixon. The family has designated memorials to Central United Methodist Church or American Heart Association. COLON BRIDGES Funeral services for Colon Bridges, 65, of ^helby, father of Mrs. Bus ter Ledford of Kings Mountain, were conducted Sunday at 3 p. m. from Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. J. M. Ezell, Interment following In Cleveland Memorial Park. Mr. Bridges died at his home Friday morning. He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Marcus and Ola Mode Bridges and a veteran of the U. S. Navy World War II Pacific Theatre. He was main tenance superintendent for 31 years at Bost Bakery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Ward Bridges; his stepmother, Mrs. Maggie Bridges of Shelby; one son, Michael Eugene Bridges of Shelby; a daughter, Mrs. Patty Quinn of Shelby; six brothers, five sisters and three grandchildren. CLYDE CAMP Funeral services for Clyde Oats Camp, 69, of Rt. 1, Grover, were conducted Saturday at 4 p. m. from Harris Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Sanders and Rev. C., brother of Mrs. Eunice Moss of Kings Mountain, were con ducted Saturday at 3 p. m. from Blacksburg Church of God, Interment following In Mountain View Cemetery. Rev. Vernon Moore, Rev. S. E. Tedder and Rev. Don Horton officiated. Mr. Earls died at 12:46 a. m. Thursday In Spartan burg General Hospital. He was a native of Cherokee County, son of the late Charlie and Nannie S. Earls. He was a former Blacksburg City employe and a veteran of World War n. Also surviving are two brothers, Eugene Eaiis of Blacksburg and Charlie Earls of Lexington, N.
