Barnes Auditorium in Kings Mountain was the setting for Cleveland Tech's Winter graduation wMch was held at 7:S0 p. m.. on Fri., Dec. 16. The business administration curriculum had the largest number of graduates, 47, whUe the general education curriculum had a close second of 45. Adults receiving degreed, diplomas, or cer- tificatea numbered 243 with IS Dr. Edgar Boone, professor of the Department of Adult and Community College Edicatlon and an assistant director of the Agricultural Extenaian Service at North Carolina SUte University in Raleigh, waa the speaker. Ihe department which he heads is one the largest of its types in (he nation. The Winter graduates received their degrees, diplomas, or certificates from Dr. Nod R. Lyklns, vice- president for Student Ser vices, which included Aasociate of Applied Sdence Degrees, Associate of General Education Degrees, Vocational Diplomas, and J5 High School Diplomas. The invocation waa given by the Reverend Olin Whitener, pastor, Shiloh Presbyterian in Grover. Dr. James B. Petty, president, congratulated the graduates and warmly wdoomed the families and Mends of the g'aduates at tending this exercise. Twenty students were recognized by Dr. Alvin M. Sherlin, vice-president, for outstanding students swards. Outstanding student swards sre given in each curriculum totheatudenU who distinguish themselves in schotostic adiievement, performance, and maturity of purpose.
