He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where he served as an honorary monber oi tbe administration board. Hoyle was a retired building contractor. He was married to the late Victoria H. Hoyle. Surviving are seven sons, Paul A. Hoyle of Fallston, Luke Hoyle of Kings Moun tain, Fred Hoyle of Gastonia, Frank G., Ralph L., Maurice R., and Norris B.
