This year’s Tour, scheduled for April 3-S, will be tut exception. Sponsored by the Women of Christ Bplscopsd Church and Historic Savannah Foundation, the Tour has become a major qningtlme event In the South and attracts people from all over the nation. ’nils year It will feature three days of visits to private residences, gar dens and house museums, and three special evening parties, all planned to give the visitor a feel for life In this gracious city that was Georgia’s first settlement. Today Savannah Is nationally noted for Its original town plan and for Its Historic District with elegant mansions and townhouses. Festivities wUl get un derway Sun., Apr. 2, with an evening on "The Romantic Riverfront’’ vdiere Georgia founder James Oglethorpe landed In 17S8. A tour of the Ships of the Sea Museum and a reception will kick oft the week’s events. ’Tour headquarters will be the DeSota Hilton Hotel, and tickets are $10 for each tour and $22 for each special event. SOUTHERN LIVING SHOW If comments from visitors to "The Southern living Show’’gala preview Friday night (before the show opened Saturday for a nine day run) are any Indication, this year’s Salute To Spring will be the moat popular ever. As visitors entered the show, at the Charlotte Merchandise Mart, they were greeted by an i8-foot waterfall with water gushing down In four different directions - over wlldflowers, moss covered rocks, down through the adjoining Camellia Garden, Moiaitaln Laurel Garden and ’Trtqilcal Garden, and past exquisite designer rooms flanking the gar dens. The show continues through Sun., Mar. 8. Show hours are 10 a. m. to 9 p. m. weekdays and Saturdays and noon to 8 p. m. on Sunday. -oOo- Beglnner n Bellydance classes will begin at Memorial Hall on March 2. 7:80-9:00 p. m.
