March 0. 1978-MIRROR-HERALD-Page B Wedding Vows Exchanged In Raleigh I -*i' >»a Mlllbrook Baptist Church of Raleigh provided the setting Saturday for a 11 a. m. wedding uniting Miss Beverly Jane Shirley and Charles Stephen Whaley. Dr. William H. Puckett, minister of the church, heard the couple exchange vows of the double-ring ceremony. The bride, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Frank Sldrley of Kings Mountain, was given In marriage by her father. The bride’s gown was fashioned of white Im ported silk crepe with a Queen Anne neckline, full. Bishop sleeves and Empire waist. Satin Venlse lace appliques accented the bodice and sleeves. The graceful, A-llne skirt with a flounce at the hemline swept Into a Chapel train. To complete her ensemble, the bride chose a fingertip MRS. CHARLES STEPHEN WHALEY (Beverly Jane Shirley) Celebrates Birthday Orady Dixon, former Kings Mountain resident, celebratsd his 88th blr- I thday Monday at a birth- ) day party at Beam’s Rest Home In Qastonla where ^ he has been a resident for several years. His white Jonqull- I decorated birthday cake ’’ was cut and served with punch at a party hosted by a number of Kings Molaitaln area relatives and attended by other patients at the center. Two members of the nursing staff were also celebrating birthdays and were honored with decorated cakes. Present tor the party were Dixon’s two brothers, Ira and Lee Dbcon, both of Kings Mountain, his three sisters, Mrs. Cora Sipes, Mrs. Lucille Sellers and Mrs. Mylle Huffstetler, all of Kings Mountsdn, and his nieces, Mrs. Sue Wilson of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Norma Atkinson of Clover, , nephew.
