Moss. It was a busy day all day for the young women who were assigned various positions in government and were also treated to luncheon at Depot Center. Girl Scouts participating as leaders in city positions were Lind say Holmes, Mayor-For-A-Day; Elizabeth McGUl, Crystal Dixon, Lori Herndon, DaunBrazzell, Velma Jordan, and Ametrla Smith, the six district commlssloners-ft>r-a-day; Angela Allen, dty clerk; Kelly Kay Kendall, public works superin tendent; Pamela Morrow, electrical superintendent; Deda Smith, gas department superintendent; Dawn Moirls, tire chief; Alison Champion, police chief; Terry Scarborough, ''detective; Ladonna White, youth officer; Connie Oates, crime prevention officer; Nelda Fisher, police dispatcher; Sophia Johnson, recreation department superin tendent; Becky Bolt, animal regulation officer; Donna Black- t>um. Mayor - For-A-Day Lindsay Holmes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Holmes, thanked the board for their support of the Girl Scout program and called attention to this week’s observance of Girl Scout Helen Haynes, field represen tative of Pioneer Girl Scout Council, Introduced Lindsay Holmes, Elizabeth McGlU, Dawn Morris and Nelda Fldier who gave a short program detailing scouting ac tivities In the area and Miss Fisher presented a plaque to the city on behalf of the 36 girls taking part In Girl Scout Day. Atotal of 36 CSrl Scouts from the city were recognized and talked about some of the things they had learned during the morning spent with various department heads in city goverrunant. Mayor John Moss hosted the lisicheon, which was also attended by Police Chief J. D. A Special Luncheon Barrett, Fire Chief Gene ’lignor, Cbdes Director Alvin Morets, KMPD Youth Offleer Robert Dodge, Chime Prevention Bureau Officer Houston Oom, Det. Sgt. Richard Reyaolds, Sgt. L. D. Beattie and poUce department offlca staffers. Jerry White, gas department supt., Frank Bums, fire department training offleer, and other members of the city Sre department were also on hand fer the hmeheon.
